Audubon Minnesota and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will host the third Kids’ Birdwatching Fair from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on May 7th at Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Rapids Lake Unit, south of Carver. The free event celebrates International Migratory Bird Day by educating children on the basics of bird watching and conservation.
The event is for children aged 12 and younger and their friends and families. Children will participate in bird banding demonstrations, learn about wild bird identification, how to feed birds, and the use of field identification guides and binoculars. All attendees will be eligible for drawings for prizes. No reservations are needed for this free event.
