Bird Watching Trek

August 27 @ 8:00 am - 10:30 am CDT

On our July and August Refuge walks, we will be searching for nesting birds that are feeding their young. With over 100 species that nest on the Refuge, we should be able to find a few species with young. July will also bring along the first fall migrants. Learn which species use the refuge as a migratory stop over and those that migrate to the refuge to nest. Birders of all skill levels are welcome on these walks. What to Bring: if you have them, bring along binoculars and a favorite field guide. This program is held entirely outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather. A cancellation notice will be sent via email to registered participants in the event of lightning or severe storms. For questions about these walks, please contact volunteer naturalist Craig at 952-240-7647. Pre-registration required.

For more information and a link to the Signup page for this field trip, visit the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuges website. In the events section of the refuge’s website there will be a link to the signup page for the field trip you are interested in joining. These walks will be limited to 25 participants, so register early.
