Stan Tekiela presented a program on bird migration at the Nov. 19 MRVAC monthly Zoom meeting.  His slide show had stunning photos, fascinating facts and fun stories that unlocked many bird migration secrets – how they find their way, how they know when they’ve arrived, and how they find their way back.

A naturalist, author and wildlife photographer, Stan is a popular MRVAC presenter. He has been a naturalist for more than 25 years and has received national and regional awards for his books and photographs. His syndicated column appears in more than 25 newspapers and he can be heard on a number of Midwest radio stations. His books focus on birds, mammals, trees, wildflowers, amphibians and reptiles in states from Minnesota to Texas and Florida.  His books can be found at http://www.naturesmart.com/?module=bookstore
